My sister Christine and her husband John welcomed their precious baby girl, Isabella Caroline on June 29, 2021. Baby Isabella was born with severe heart defects requiring open heart surgery at 10 days old. By the Grace of God, Isabella defied the odds and survived this unprecedented surgery. She is expected to remain in the neonatal cardiac ICU at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for weeks to come.
We hope Isabella will be able to come home soon; however, she will require at least one more heart surgery in the next year and close medical follow up for an unforeseen time.
Chrissy has had to relocate to Philadelphia and is currently unable to work. Her husband John also has had to miss work and will likely miss additional time for future procedures and appointments.
Chrissy is a patient support technician at the Community Medical Center in Toms River and serves as fire police on Lanoka Harbor Fire Company. Her husband John works as a heavy machine operator in Ocean County, NJ and is a firefighter with Forked River Volunteer Fire Company. Chrissy and John have had to live apart so that John can continue to work to support the family.
Please consider donating to help offset the mounting medical bills and associated costs for baby Isabella and her family. All loving thoughts and prayers are appreciated to support Isabella's continued fight to get stronger every day.
