Hello, everyone! My name is Randi (Sipu) Whelan, and I am a 21 year old, mixed Indigenous (white-settler-Mi'kmaw), disabled, plural, queer student activist living in Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland). After a series of messed-up circumstances (family emergencies, health issues, financial issues, and possible diagnoses), I had to leave my job that I adored and live off of my Student Loans for the time being. However, the Student Loan Center had an issue (which I am working with MUN's Student Union on), and now I have no income at all. But, as we all know, life keeps moving, and now I have expensive medication, treatment, therapy, bills, rent, groceries, and even more to pay for, and no way to do it. Since GoFundMe helped a LOT with financing my top surgery (a massive success!), I am once again turning to it as a resource, but this time, I'm just looking for money to survive and live.

My hope is that I will be able to keep this fundraiser up until I get back on my feet, and then maybe I will write about my experience to share with you all, as something to give back in reciprocity.
