Who this will help
How often does someone come into your life that you just click with! Like you have been friends forever!
Thats how we feel about our girl Alanna.
She is not just a friend.. She is our family!
A beautiful Caring person with the best sense of humour ever!
A young mum to two beautiful children and a loving wife.
Alanna is the type to do anything for everyone is and now it's our turn to look after her.
Why I'm fundraising
Alannas story...
In 2008 Alanna suffered a couple of seizures which ended up with the diagnosis of Epilepsy and also being told she would never get the chance to be a mum.. the news was devastating..
In 2011 seizures were becoming more constant and after many scans it was revealed that Alanna had a lump on the left side of her head that resulted in a Arachnoid Cyst.
Surgery was needed asap to relieve the built up pressure.
The Surgery was only a temporary fix as again in 2012 Alanna was back in hospital to relieve more pressure.
After this the Epilepsy was managed through medication.
In 2014 a miracle happened and Alanna and Matt welcomed their little Boy Ollie into the world and precious little girl Harper came along in 2016.
No words can describe how it's feels to be Mother after being told it was impossible..
Fast forward to 2023..
Alanna started to become unwell on and off all year but finally taking a trip to the hospital for a nerve issue in her head in September it was revealed a massive build up of pressure from an Arachnoid Cyst again.
After multiple scans, doctors, specialists, work and also trying to be the best mum she can be has now led to an even bigger challenge which is Brain surgery.
A stereotactic left temporal craniotomy for fenestration of Arachnoid Cyst to be exact.
We as her friends are not letting her do this alone!
We are there every step of the way
The impact of your support
