This week, Niko Justus was diagnosed with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia — a type of Leukemia that thankfully has a high cure rate but comes with a long road ahead, 2.5 years of treatment. With a strong plan, medical team, and unwavering support - he’s facing this with courage and as always, a smile.

Niko is now receiving exceptional care at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX, and just completed his first round of chemotherapy. His spirit is bright and his strength is already inspiring everyone around him.

A rising 6th grader, Niko just wrapped up a great year at Carver Elementary, where he was awarded the prestigious Carver Spirit Award for being friendly, quick to help, and always lifting up those around him. Off the field, he’s a scholar. On the field, he’s an all-star baseball player, known for his hustle, heart, and dedication.

Now, it’s our turn to lift up Niko and his family — Joe, Sandra, Sebastian, and Camila — as they navigate the coming months of treatment, travel, and uncertainty.
