Medical Expenses for Jen

Jen Wheeler is always the first to help those in need (as many of you are well aware) and could now use a little help of her own. August was not a kind month to Jen, beginning with her company cutting her position on August 1st, and ending with a very untimely breast cancer diagnosis at the end of the month. With her position being cut and this recent diagnosis, she is now faced with very expensive COBRA (continuing health coverage through her former employer) insurance payments, along with the expenses of meeting deductible and high maximum out-of-pocket requirements in order to cover the care plan that will be established and put into action in the next few weeks. That plan will include surgery at the very least, likely followed by at least one form of treatment.

While Jen has been able to secure a part-time position with her former employer in Michigan, currently being underemployed and having to cover these unexpected expenses, along with the likelihood of having days when she is unable to work, will tax the funds she has to get through what she's facing. We are hoping to help her focus her energy on her recovery and not on the stresses of trying to stay afloat.
