We all know someone with cancer & now that person is me. On July 13, 2018 I was scheduled for a “screening colonoscopy” & within minutes of waking it became clear what the “pain in my ass” was that I’d been experiencing for approximately 18 months...rectal cancer. From that moment I have been fastracked into treatment and on August 3, 2018 I started chemo. The plan is bi-weekly chemo for 8 treatments followed by 5+ weeks of daily (weekday) radiation. It is a long road to recovery, but I know I can do it with the support of my friends & family. I have no idea how much work I may need to miss or what my expenses will be, but with your support I know I can overcome this challenge!
