On the 22nd of July 2018, Ruth Eastick passed away quickly and peacefully in the Alice Springs Palliative Care Unit. Ruth was due to come back to Kingaroy her home town and Country being Wakka Wakka land, to stay with my family to spend the rest of her days surrounded by loved ones. Sadly we couldn't get her home in time. Her wishes are to be brought home and to be layed to rest with her parents in Kingaroy Qld. Ruth believed she had a funeral fund which we have found out isn't the case so we are needing to raise funds to bring her home with dignity. She requested to be cremated but Alice Springs doesn't have the facility to do this ... So the cost are quiet extreme. Ruth was one of the stolen generation and was born Lillian Boney. Ruth never applied for compensation which she rightly deserved and I would like to acknowledge her culture through to the end giving her the best send off she should have. Ruth was loved by many and never complained and was a giving soul. Never have I heard one bad word about her by anyone. So please help us bring this beautiful soul home as quickly as possible... Every dollar counts and would be required to do this with the utmost respect and dignity. Thanking You, Wendy Gillingham
