Community Support for Fire-Affected Family

Hello everyone,

My name is Joanna Brown, and I am a local real estate agent living in Middletown. I’m reaching out on behalf of a dear community member and her grandchildren, who were impacted by a devastating townhome fire in their immediate neighbor’s home. While the fire itself was fortunately contained to one unit, the smoke and collateral damage have significantly affected their home and belongings.

This grandmother of four, with grandchildren ranging from primary to middle school, is now facing the daunting task of rebuilding their lives. Although they have secured a temporary place to stay—thank God for that relief—much of their home’s contents need to be cleaned, replaced, or completely removed. Essential household items, clothing, shoes, toys, and more have been ruined.

Adding to the challenge, she does not have renter’s insurance to cover these unexpected costs. I’m hoping our community can come together to raise the funds she desperately needs to clean and restore her home, replace essential items, and get the professional help required to recover from this disaster.
