Shannon Glendinning recently experienced a life-changing tragedy. Her houseboat, her home, was destroyed in a devastating fire. Heartbreakingly, she lost her beloved dog, Rocky, due to the fire. Though Shannon was not on board and is safe, she lost most of her possessions, and most tragically, her closest companion.

As a dedicated employee of the Humane Society, Shannon is well-known for her big heart and dedication to animals. She supports her community, and now she needs our support to get through this incredibly challenging time.

Her Situation:

Shannon lost everything in the fire. To make matters worse, her insurance is not covering the damage to her boat or her property, nor will it assist with the costly disposal. Shannon received a quote of nearly $9,000 to have the boat towed away and disposed of—a substantial amount for anyone, especially while recovering from such a traumatic loss. Despite this heartbreak, Shannon is bravely navigating her way forward.
