Daneen and Aimee have been my family for as long as I can remember.
Aimee has been my sister since I was two. We've shared clothes (reluctantly for her), rooms, laughs, tears, hopes, fears and screaming fights. Just like real sisters do.
Daneen has been a little harder to define.
Second Mom, Fairy Godmother, Neen.
She's been a constant source of love and support to me, my brother and my girls.
And we all love her back just as much.
Daneen has been battling cancer for the second time and though she has fought hard, it's time for her to rest.
She needs Aimee to be with her now for as long as she can.
Aimee is unable to take leave from work due to financial issues.
It is my hope and wish that I can raise enough money so she can take a few days off to be with her mom and keep the lights on, gas in the car and food in the fridge.
