Help Steve's Legacy Live On

Donation protected

Steven was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma in January of this year. Although it is rare, it has a relatively high survival rate. Because he was a healthy young man, the prognosis was very promising. He underwent chemo treatments and was clear of cancer in April. But on Memorial weekend, we found out that the cancer had returned. We were all devastated. The cancer did not respond to any subsequent treatments, and as things progressed, treatment options lessened. The decision was made to bring him home on hospice this week.

Steve has such a gentle spirit about him. He is a man of few words, but his words are always meaningful and kind. He is smart and witty and just easy to be around. He is so loved by all of his aunts, uncles, and cousins, and was adored by his grandparents who have already passed. He is a loving son and brother, a devoted husband to Shila, and loves being Dada to his sweet boys Ben (4 yrs) and Henry (17 mo). Even though the boys are so young, they will know about their dad and the kind of man he is through stories from family and friends. And we pray the legacy he inherited will be continued with his children.

Please consider donating to Steve’s fund to help with medical expenses, educational funds for the boys, and general help as Shila will transition from being a stay-home mom to reentering the workforce. It will mean so much to him to know that his family is being helped during this difficult time.
