The Fox Family needs our help.

Hi, our names are Sue and Rachel, and we are hoping to raise funds for our best friend and her family as they try to navigate through the second crisis in two months.

Years ago, Mindy's mother, Patty, was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's. Patty was the primary caretaker of her severely handicapped son, who has Cerebral Palsy and needs total care. Sadly, Patty lost her fight two months ago after being cared for by her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and niece. Mindy was able to take FMLA from her job, where she works as a medical professional to help her father, who is semi-retired, provide crucial end-of-life care for her mother and tend to her brother's needs.

Just as she could go back to work after her mother's passing, the whole family got COVID. Shortly after that, her father became unwell. He saw a few Doctors, including a cardiologist with a full cardiac workup, and was given a clean bill of health, but he still felt that something was wrong. Upon insistence from Mindy and her husband, both of whom are medical professionals/first responders, her father went to the emergency room. There, it was found that he has congestive heart failure, A-fib, pneumonia, lower left heart failure, arterial blockages, a small arterial aneurysm, and more. He is undergoing Triple Bypass surgery at this very moment.

Mindy now has no choice but to take an unpaid leave for possibly the next three months to care for him while he recovers, while also caring for her brother and daughter. Unfortunately, her husband was laid off on Friday, and as of last night, her brother's wheelchair-accessible van broke down. This is the only means of transporting her brother to his daycare and various appointments.

The last several months have taken their toll on this loving and generous family, emotionally and financially. We would like you to donate to help this family get back on their feet, keep up with impending medical bills, be able to provide the care her brother needs, and stay afloat during the hardest time of their lives.
