Hey guys!
I'll get right down to it, I'm an aviation science major at Utah Valley University and have been having quite a bit of trouble getting the necessary funding to pay for school. While financial aid, grants and loans have essentially covered my tuition costs (which I'm really stoked on) it's a bit harder to cover my flight training. Unfortunately, I don't qualify for anymore federal loans or private loans without the aid of a cosigner - which translates to me being short about $20,000 for my flying. I've been basically bending over backwards to pull in any kind of funding I can, including scholarships, but it simply isn't enough.
My biggest concern for this is that I won't be able to graduate in time to meet the age cut off for flying in the Navy, I've come down to the line here and if I can't figure out how to make ends meet that dream will never be fulfilled.
If you guys know me well, you know that this is absolutely everything to me. Now I know a ton of you fellow college kids know this struggle all too well, especially those investing in the same career I am but
even a buck counts! I'd also be more than happy to invite any of my sponsors on a fly along. :)
Thanks so much in advance!!!
Fair winds and following skies!
