The Rinehart Family - leukemia relapse help

Hi, my name is Erin. My best friend Nicole and her family are going through something unimaginable right now. As many of you reading this know, Nicole and her husband Bill's son, Nicholas, was diagnosed with leukemia in 2021 at age 3.5. After two hard years of chemo, Nicholas was in remission and completed chemo in May this year. Now the unthinkable has happened, a mere 6 months after “ringing the bell”, Nicholas’ leukemia is back. A relapse requires even more intensive treatment than he had initially, and requires Nicholas remain in the hospital for a minimum of 1 month starting Monday 12/18. Nicole and Bill have 9 year old Benjamin, baby Henry who is not yet even 3 months old, and a business to run on top of dealing with this nightmare.

For those like myself who want to do anything we can to help ease the pain and stress of this horrible situation, you can offer your support here. Your donation will help to support Nicole and Bill through this time by helping cover costs of gas and meals as they commute back and forth over an hour each way from their home to the hospital, help ease the stress about the awful decision to choose between being with Nicholas or keeping their business going so they don’t lose their source of income, and help with extra assistance they may need for childcare, housecleaning etc.

As many of you know, they have many restrictions on foods due to severe allergies. Offers to make meals are appreciated, but due to these allergies, money or gift cards for “safe” restaurants such as Jets pizza, Little Caesar’s, outback, chicken shack, Costco, Kroger or door dash are safer.

Nicholas would also love handmade cards, drawings or pictures from friends and anybody wanting to help make him feel loved and a little less isolated during his month in the hospital.
