Brush of Kindness Honoring Marissa

Donation protected
Marissa planned to graduate in 2019 with her BSN, RN from Mercy College of Ohio. Due to complications from a recent surgery, she became a patient in the ICU. While in the ICU, Marissa wanted to brush her hair. She stated that “If you look better, you feel better.” As her Mom helped her, they realized the combs offered at the hospital would not go through her thick hair. Her mother went to the gift shop to buy a brush that would work. After Marissa got out of the hospital, it was her mission to purchase quality brushes and donate them to hospitals for patients like herself. Sadly, Marissa lost her battle against the complications before she was able to carry out her thoughtful idea. With the help of generous donors, Marissa’s family hopes to carry on her idea of providing quality hair brushes to hospital patients. All money donated will go directly to Marissa’s mom who will purchase hair brushes to donate to hospitals around the country.
