On Monday March 7th, my best friend's Mom, Devon Godbey suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. She was rushed to Cabell Huntington Hospital and was immediately taken to emergency surgery. They performed a craniotomy, identified three aneurysms, and placed clips to them. It was a miracle that she survived the rupture and surgery. She spent three weeks in the ICU, and one week on a medical surgical floor. In order to get the best brain rehabilitation, she was transferred to Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Devon continues to make improvements each day. Mark has taken FMLA to remain by Devon's side the entire time. Devon has been unable to work, and will be off for an extended period of time. Please join us in Devon's long journey to recovery. The medical bills continue to add up and we are reaching out to their amazing and supportive network of family and friends to help in any way, shape, or form.
