As a mother of a 13 year old myself I can’t even begin to imagine the heartache, stress and worry Braxtons family is feeling.
Braxton has been a normal 13 year old boy running around, known for always telling jokes trying to make people laugh until this last week.
This week Braxtons family just received news that no mother would ever want to hear, Cancer. After finding a mass on his spine he was rushed into surgery hours from his home at U of M Hospital where the doctors confirmed B-cell Lymphoma. The doctors were not able to remove the large mass but had to remove a piece of his spine and are continuing to run tests to know what the future may hold for them on this long road to recovery.
I’m Asking for prayers and any help financially for his family to be by Braxtons side without worrying about the financial burden from missing work while he is in the hospital (hours from home) waiting on answers. They are having to cover travel expenses, hotel stays, food etc. and still pay bills at home to take care of the rest of their family. As well as medical expenses.
Any help financially for his immediate family to be there by his side big or small will be greatly appreciated.
Please keep the Porter family in your prayers.
Although they never have asked for any help we as a family and community know that they will need a lot of support and prayers, as this will be a LONG road to recovery. All funds will go directly to Braxtons immediate family Annette and Stacey Porter. If you are unable to donate at this time prayers are always needed and appreciated.
Any updates on Braxton will be on The Facebook group Braxtons Journey.
