The words "I have Ovarian Cancer" is not something a mother would ever expect to hear from her 25 year old daughter. Talk about knocking the wind out of you! I can't even imagine how she felt hearing them.

Summer and Russell recently had a baby together, while sharing two other children. Russell works full time and Summer is a stay at home mom to their 4 month, almost 3 year old and 6 year old. Unfortunately, insurance is not going to cover the full cost of her doctor appointments, chemo treatments, scans and eventual hysterectomy. Being a single income household making ends meet will be difficult at best.

Summer will be starting a 6 month chemo regimen on January 30th. This is weighing heavy on us as a family. But not nearly as much as it is weighing on her. We are asking for help with anything that will ease the burden on them. (Monetary donations, meals, positive vibes and prayers are all appreciated)

Summer is a strong lady and we have no doubt she will beat this. She is determined to tackle this battle and put it all behind her as quickly as possible. She has her family and friends to help her through it all.
