It is with deepest regret, we must share with all of you the very sad news that our esteemed colleague and friend, Daniel Stadelmann , passed away on March 28, 2020. Throughout his four-year battle with cancer, Daniel showed us the true meaning of courage and how to live our lives under the most difficult of circumstances with dignity, love and joy. His many small acts of kindness and generosity right up until his final days will be forever remembered by all.
Daniel was always the consummate professional. He began his career with AES in 2006 and worked in numerous roles, including CFO of AES Gener from 2009 through 2014 as well as CFO of the Andes SBU from 2012 through 2014. Starting as Treasurer in 2014, his leadership enabled AES to achieve its first investment grade in its nearly forty-year history.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 16 years, Mariana, and his three children: Mateo, Lucas and Emma. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them. As a man of great faith, we are certain that he has moved on to a better place.
Daniel touched so many people and many have reached out to provide support. Any contributions made in Daniel's memory will benefit Mateo, Lucas and Emma.
