Help for Jane Lemme introduce myself. Hi, my name’s JANE. I’m a black queer artist, creator, and producer living in Portland, OR. Wednesday morning i was in an accident involving a fire . I had been commissioned to create a Christmas tree and room design for a holiday party being held at (but not for) the Portland Art Museum. While working on the tree, it caught fire in my home and i suffered severe burns to my face and hands. At this moment i don’t know the extent of the damage or how this incident will effect my life. I do know the next bit will be a challenge however as far as living expenses and medical bills as i create with my hands and will in effect be out of commission. This is where i need to reach out to my community in hopes of garnering assistance. If you know me you know I’m not one to reach out as I’ve always taken care of myself but at this point, I’m not sure i can do this without a hand. If you can, pass this on to whom you see fit.
