Hey there, friends! Thank you so much for visiting Aubrey & James' Gofundme. Aubrey and James are a sweet, wonderful couple who could really use the support of the community right now. If you know them, you know that they are two of the most loving, genuine individuals you will ever meet. They are incredibly generous people and they deserve to receive the same good vibes they put out into the world.
James was recently diagnosed with a rare blood disease - a form of T Cell Lymphoma called Peripheral Angioimmunoblastic T Cell Lymphoma. Over the next several months, Aubrey and James will be taking road trips back and forth, to and from Charleston, SC so that James can receive his chemotherapy treatments. James is going to be taking part in a clinical trial at MUSC’s Cancer Institute. While James has a trustworthy care team in Charleston, he and Aubrey need a lot of help on the homefront as they naturally have to take time off from work and she is now his full-time caregiver. They are living off of a fixed amount of money right now. Medical bills pile up quickly, and can be incredibly overwhelming in a situation that is already incredibly overwhelming- physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
It would also be incredibly helpful if Aubrey didn't have to worry about grocery shopping, cooking, or even ordering food at this time. She is exhausted and sometimes during times of high stress like this, you need someone to help take care of you by literally just making sure you eat, or at least have plenty of things you like in the fridge and pantry that you can easily grab and enjoy. Basically, whatever we as a community can do to make life easier for Aubrey and James during this time, would be amazing. When you're in survival mode, executive functioning takes a hit, and small things like being able to lay down or having a meal ready to go, are actually the big things.
We extend our most sincere and heartfelt “Thank you” to everyone who has already donated and been willing to help. It is truly humbling and touching to see how many generous people are part of this community.
