Wilco's surgery fund
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Jesse and I am making this gofundme on behalf of my parents, Brian Antler and Judy Dufoe, who have been long time residents of Ladysmith B.C. This is their dog, named after the great Chicago band, Wilco . He is a 4 year old Siberia husky, malamute cross. He is a very energetic, kind, goofy, Gental boy who has brought great joy to our family and many others in his young life.
Unfortunately wilco suffered a severe leg break on sunday, October the 18 While playing In a friends yard. Over the weekend wilco got his leg caught between two risers while runing up a flight of outside stairs, breaking two bones in his leg. After a trip to the vet he was put in a cast and we were told he would need surgery. As you can imagine surgery for an animal is quite expensive and the financial strain is beyond stessful. These kinds of things seem to happen at the most inopportune times. Although there is no question that we will proceed with the surgery, so wilco can enjoy a normal life, which he deserves, we would be so grateful for some kind of relief financialy.
Wilco is scheduled for surgery on Thursday, October 22, and is in for months of recovery. We are so grateful for the vet in coombs, who are a very caring and professional group of doctors. We are hopeful and confidant that the surgery will go well, and this important member of our family will have a full recovery and get back to his happy energetic self.
I will provide updates of Wilco's progress often. I have also posted a estimate of Wilco's medical bills.
