Hi, my name is Ayla I am from England. I am so so deeply saddened by the genocide and famine happening in Palestine and it feels increasingly more difficult to not do something to help. I know many other people feel this way and if you do share this feeling then I hope this fundraiser provides a means of action. In order to raise money I have decided to shave my hair with the aim of raising £1000 for the charity MECA. I have been inspired to raise this money by my cousin Jim Henderson who lost his life delivering aid in Palestine. I am so proud to have been related to him and wanted to make a contribution in his honour.

The Middle Eastern Children’s Association is a nonprofit organisation working for the rights and the well-being of children in the Middle East. They are continually working in Palestine delivering aid such as food, medicine, clothes and education to those in need. Since 1988, they have sent more than $42 million in aid to children in Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon. The stories and work of the volunteers at MECA are truly inspiring.
