Help Raven Get Life-Saving Surgery

Hi friends!

We're currently raising money to get our dog, Raven, a splenectomy. Raven is 7.5 years old who is incredibly friendly, smart, and overall the best girl. To know Raven is to love her. Anyone who knows us knows our dogs are our everything and we'd do anything for them.

While we do have pet insurance (highly recommend) and have been using it, her surgery + all the additional tests that were done would put us at about $15k with her coverage only being about $10k. So we are trying to raise some money to bridge the gap between the insurance coverage as well as the money we've spent out of pocket.

Raven went to the vet on June 10th for an allergy shot and the vets felt some dissention on her abdomen that extended past her ribcage, almost like she just had a full meal (she didn't). The vet then asked for us to come back on June 14th so they can feel her abdomen again to see if it was still disented (it was) and then recommended we do an abdominal x-ray. The x-ray confirmed there is a very large mass on her spleen and that is a huge concern.

She then went in for an ultrasound and cytology on June 17th and double confirmed that it is a very large mass and affecting the other organs and surrounding lymph nodes but based on the cytology results, it wasn't definitive if it was cancer or not. We then went for a CT scan of the full body to show if in case it was cancer, if it spread or not. Based on the CT and an additional cytology of the lymph nodes, the best course of action is to have a full splenectomy because it is affecting Raven's quality of life. We'd know after the surgery if the tumor was benign or malignant (hopefully, benign).

This surgery is Raven's best chance of living a healthy life and we're doing all that we can to make sure that she can receive the care and help that she needs.
