To our dear friend Bruce,

As we gather this holiday season, we're thinking of you and your loved ones. Your strength and resilience in the face of adversity are truly inspiring. Your family, friends, and community want you to know you're not alone.

Funds are being raised to support Bruce’s ongoing medical care, including medical equipment, personal medical care, hospital costs as he faces the challenges of an almost 3 year battle. 

Bruce has been bravely battling throat and tongue cancer since early 2023. Unfortunately, the cancer has progressed and spread to his lungs this year. Despite the challenges, he remains a fighter, and his spirit continues to inspire us all. As a kind-hearted partner, father, brother, son, and friend, Bruce's love and warmth touch the lives of everyone around him.

A hardworking, passionate roofer, all this has had to stop as he is fighting to survive. He loves nature, sailing, adventure, and cruising on his Harley Davidson. But most importantly, he loves his family and friends.

The past few years have been incredibly tough, with treatments and setbacks taking a toll on Bruce's health. Not being able to eat a proper meal and relying on a feeding tube has been a difficult adjustment. Every breath is a challenge, and carrying an oxygen tank has become a constant reminder of the battle he's fighting.

Bruce's partner has been by his side every step of the way, caring for him with love and devotion. Their love and strength have been the foundation of his fight, and we're grateful for the joy they share.

As Christmas approaches, we're reminded of the power of love, kindness, and community. That's why we're coming together to support Bruce and his family during this tough time. Your generosity will help ease the financial burden and give Bruce hope and joy during the holiday season.

May the words of Psalm 121 bring you comfort and peace:

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains—

where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

the Maker of heaven and earth.

The Lord will keep you from all harm,

he will watch over your life;

the Lord will watch over your coming and going

both now and forevermore." (Psalm 121:1-3, 7-8)

May God bless you all during this holiday season. Our prayers are with all of you.  The  greatest gift is love,  acts of kindness, a smile, and time with those we love. Everyone is fighting a battle we don't know. 

Let's rally around Bruce and show him he's not alone. Any gift would ease his burden and let him focus on spending his days at peace and in rest, and to give strength to fight knowing there are people who want to help. We'll get through this together, one step at a time.
