Help me not be homeless

I am 40 yr old female, with my 11 yr old Dachshund. I have recently become unemployed due to CoVID loss of business. I have never been homeless and have always done what I could to help individuals in need. On March 23, 2021 I feared for my personal safety and mental health after a gradual decay over the last year, by my last remaining family member in Canada. I abandoned my belongings and packed anything I could in my car. I have been homeless since then, and refuse to give up my dog. I was entered into the Homeless person's database in Canada, and have been trying to find permanent residence since then. Housing prices in Canada are extremely expensive and to stay in emergency shelter which allows pets is a minimum of $1400 per month. I am still looking for permanent solutions as I cannot afford to spend savings on accommodation. Any help you can lend would be very appreciated.
