Injured father
On Monday morning last week Daniel was struck by a several hundred pound falling limb. The impact was deflected by his helmet, but unfortunately landed on his low back. It broke the Spinous process (back tabs of the vertebrae) on L3,4 and 5, as well as the left Transverse process (left tabs of the vertebrae) of L3 and 4. There was also soft tissue trauma that accompanied the impact.
He spent 2 days in the hospital, and has just been released to the care of his 9 month old daughter, Kathleen, and his wife, McKenna.
He has several months of recovery ahead, during which he will be unable to work. This has been a financially challenging year for his family and I know his healing will be prioritized if he knows his family is taken care of and the mortgage is paid.
He would like to thank the crew he was with for their cool heads and quick responses that got him to the ambulance, the team that took care of him at the hospital, and everyone who has said prayers for quick healing. His family is incredibly grateful for any support you may be able to provide, whether that be financial, meals, and/or prayers.
