Hi everyone. I am creating this go fund me on behalf of one of my lifelong best friends, Courtney Osadca.
On the afternoon of Wednesday, January 7th she experienced a medical emergency. Thankfully she was not alone and her son acted swiftly, calling her husband and they rushed to the ER. Shortly after being there they determined it was either a stroke or a brain aneurysm which they were not equipped to handle and she was sent to the ICU at Overlook hospital which has an amazing neurology department. After many tests it was a confirmed aneurysm and she was sent to surgery right away to stop the bleeding on the brain. Thankfully all went well and she is stable but has a LONG road to recovery. There are still many tests being done hourly/daily, and a second surgery is possible. As of right now she will spend at least two weeks in the ICU, and then hopefully home after that. Recovery at home is at least 6 months. At this point nothing is confirmed or promised, timelines can change at a moments notice. She is just getting by day to day, learning about how complex and difficult this journey will be. Despite it all, her positivity has remained. She is truly an inspiration to all of us with her strength and perseverance. Still cracking jokes and smiling through it all!
Besides being an amazing mother, wife, daughter, friend, aunt, and dog mom (we can't forget those babies of hers!) Courtney runs her own successful small business- CACO Creations. As of right now, she is unsure of when she will be able to get back to it, understandably.
The goal of this go fund me is to help with medical bills, extended medical care and equipment at home, and time away from work. I know times are tough for so many right now, but I cannot think of any one more deserving than Courtney. She'd give you the shirt off her back -or make you one!! (If you know, you know :)
