My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer in August. She is terminal. We are still waiting for approval from disability for her. It's been four months since she first applied. Her first doctor claimed my mom was able to continue working. I took a leave of absence from my job in NY to come to NC to take care of her because she can no longer be left alone. My sister, step-father and I have been paying all bills, medical costs and personal care supplies out of pocket. We are all tapped out. These donations will not go directly to my mom, they'll go directly to her bills (electric, phone, insurance, rent). They'll also help pay for medications and personal care items that my mom needs.
