GRADUATE SCHOOL RELOCATION
Donation protected
Hey y’all hey!
Some of you may already know that I’m getting ready to relocate for grad school in August! I’ve spent the last two years serving through the AmeriCorps program as the Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator for Prism United, an LGBTQ+ outreach here in Mobile,AL. My AmeriCorps contract ends August 14th and my graduate program begins August 26th. I’ll be attending Loyola University Chicago for a dual degree, Master’s in Social Work and a Master’s in Women’s Studies and Gender Studies. I plan to continue my work for the LGBTQ+ community as a mental health clinician, sexual health educator, and activist.
Time and time again I’ve been reminded there is power in community. So I am leaning into that vulnerability and allowing others to show up for me where ever they can. Moving to Mobile, I was welcomed with opened arms and showered with love and support from Prism and local community. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and consider this a bittersweet moment as I say see you later to many that I now call chosen family. As we all know, graduate school is expensive, Chicago is expensive, moving is expensive…
With that being said, any consideration for donating would be greatly appreciated, needed, and will not go unnoticed.
Other areas of support:
-gift cards
-cold weather accessories
-words of encouragement
Thank you in advance! ❤️
