Dave's Home Burned Down

This is my brother, Dave. His house and nearly everything he had to his name burned up in the Dollar Ridge Fire near Strawberry Reservoir. Dave is a builder, mountain man, and a dad. This is a photo I took while helping him build his log home. Each one of those logs came from a beetle-killed tree. Each one of those logs Dave knew intimately; he downed each tree, shaped it with a hand-drawn knife and moved them, one by one, over a two-year period to its final place in this cozy home. Dave's 14-year-old son is an aspiring blacksmith. When he learned that his little makeshift forge burned up, he was devastated. Any contribution to help Dave and his son replace their tools and rebuild their home would be enormously appreciated. Thank you so much for your generosity!
