My mother, Patricia Hugghis was blessed to have undergone a successful heart transplant in 2010. As grateful as we are that a heart was found for her and the procedure was successful, an organ transplant has some negatives. Lifelong immunosuppressive drugs prevent the body from rejecting the new new heart but they take a toll on the rest of the organs. She has recently been placed on another transplant list for her kidney due to failure. If you know my mom, you know how much she’s been through, and also how sweet, caring, and strong she is. As always, we’re asking for prayers but we’ve also started a Go Fund Me  fundraiser to assist with anticipated medical and travel costs.
