My name is Jamal Johnson and I have organized and led the approximately 140 mile Stop Killing Us (SKU) March/Walk for the past four (4) years. It’s purpose is to address the issues of extreme gun violence and police brutality which exists in our communities across this country.

This has been a labor of love for myself and has been a personal sacrifice with no sponsorship or request for financial assistance in the past. But due to my current expenses meted out to address the immediate crisis of gun violence in my own city of Philadelphia, and the projected increases in expenses for food, lodging, etc as a result of the COVID epidemic, I find it necessary to seek assistance this fifth year of the event for the first time.

Upon the completion of the march we will arrive at the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) at which time we will demand further immediate federal assistance to combat the gun violence pandemic affecting our communities. We will also demand immediate and urgent passage of the George Floyd Bill addressing police brutality.
