5th Annual STEM Toy Drive for Boys & Girls Club

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! 

We’re running our 5th Annual STEM toy drive. As families with kids have been navigating life through COVID-19 and inflation, this year especially, we need your support to give high quality STEM activities, books and toys to the amazing kids that are part of Boys & Girls Club of Canada - Eastview Centre.

All donations will go towards buying new STEM activities, books and toys for kids in need. We will be buying items throughout and dropping off all items on December 14th so please get your donations in ASAP. This year we're trying to raise $5,000.00 in celebration of our 5th year!

Dad’s for Daughters in STEM (D4DSTEM) is a volunteer driven not-for-profit organization that is committed to supporting Canadian children - particularly girls ages 3 to 10 in lower socio-economic neighbourhoods - to be innovators and leaders in the global economy. We do this by providing diverse and fun STEM activities, resources, and events that build confidence and curiosity to prepare our youth for a brighter future.

Throughout the past four years, we distributed ~700 toys to children in the community and we want to grow this to show that STEM-education can be fun! STEM toys build curiosity and confidence, which is critical to continue to develop critical skills.

WHAT WE’RE ABOUT

At Dads for Daughters in STEM (D4DSTEM), we believe that foundational skills in STEM will help prepare kids for any career path to live better lives.

Our goal is to ensure that all Canadian kids between the ages of 3 to 10, and particularly girls, who have been historically underrepresented in STEM - are given equal opportunity to build our future.
