Help Gina and Kids Escape Suspicious Landlord
Donation protected
Gina* is a single mom of two who lives in the Rockville area. After finding courage to leave an abusive relationship and obtain sole custody, she got a job and began looking for a place to live.
As some of you may know first-hand, finding a place to live as a single parent is often not an easy proposition. After months of searching, often while living with her kids out of a hotel, only two landlords accepted Gina’s application. The first, who lived in the adjacent property, asked if she was “looking for a boyfriend.” ⚠️ ⚠️ Gina recognized that as a red flag and went with option two.
Sadly, option two has become nightmarish. Almost as soon as she moved in, the landlord began sending her sexually inappropriate messages, asking her if she WATCHES PORN and saying he’d like to KISS HER. ⛔️⛔️⛔️
Perhaps more disturbing, she has begun to suspect he might have hidden cameras on the property. She left the porch light on one night, and she woke up to a text message the next morning telling her to turn it off. Another day, her child plunged the toilet, and he sent her an email the next day reminding her only to use soft toilet paper. The landlord does not reside nearby and had no reason to know of either occurrence.
More recently, after Gina filed a temporary protection order against him, the landlord texted her to asking her to drop the case. When she arrived at court, however, the judge advised her that the landlord had not yet been served.
Gina clearly needs to get out of this living situation, and fast, for the safety of herself and her children, but she cannot at this moment afford to rent another place. In addition to paying a $2550 deposit, she has paid rent through June and is renting his furniture. Between court/legal fees and costs associated with moving and securing a new place and furniture, we estimate about $10,000 should make the difference for this family between living in safety or constant fear.
Please help Gina by contributing funds to help her get out of this situation and far away from this disturbing situation. Your help would go such a long way and would be so appreciated.

NOTE: Although I do not know Gina personally, I do know her actual name, and she has shown me documents that corroborate her story. She was also very reluctant to accept any financial assistance, but I think it would be great if we could be a part of showing her kids that there are always helpers. ❤️
