Life is short enough and this weekend it almost became shorter for my daughter , while this beautiful girl is usually vibrant and has a contagious laugh, this weekend she let peer pressure help make a decision she will have to live with for the rest of her life! She chose to take medicine from a friend that was supposed to help with her being sad lately, but led to an accidental overdose and a hospital stay in the PICU in Portland! After several days of being nonverbal as well as non-responsive, she finally came to! Her kidneys took some irreversible damage, which is something we will have to deal with for the next several years, we are just asking for any help for my sweet girl because as we do have insurance, it’s not covering about 40% of her bills or her treatments moving forward for her kidneys, If you know my daughter, you know this is not like her she let peer pressure win, but if you don’t know her, just know she is usually a happy spirited child who would help anyone and loves everyone, this isn’t like her and it breaks my mom heart to watch her walk through this and deal with the emotions behind it all,  any help would be appreciated!
