Support George's Urgent Medical Care

Help needed- Seeking donations towards financial hardship relief following my cat George’s abscess surgery

Hi everyone. I’ve never asked for financial help before, but at the moment I do not know what else to do.

I rescued my cat George, who was caught as a feral as part of a TNR program 4 years ago. He is FIV+ but he’s stayed healthy for most of our time together. A few weeks ago, growths appeared on George’s gums, and he had to have an urgent procedure under anesthesia to determine if the growths were cancerous or some kind of infection. I am so grateful that it was the best possible outcome and my boy had tooth & bone infection that could be resolved during the procedure with extractions and debriding.

However, I am living in the negative, I don’t even make it paycheck to paycheck. After being laid off from my previous job as a project manager, I took the next job I could get, at a massive pay cut that barely covers my costs. I have not been able to recover from the several weeks without work or income in between. I do work full time and I also volunteer as an athletic coach for kids. I am also working on finding a job that will better support me. I will always go without before George does, but this urgent care happened and I was not prepared. I already struggle to cover my basic needs. After a couple weeks of trying to figure out how I’m going to figure this out, I decided to start a go fund me and see if anyone is able to help.
