Rally For Jennifer Kowaleski

Once upon a time, not too long ago, I was subbing in a classroom and overly stressed out. At the end of the day while I was scrambling to get everything done another sub that was placed in the same room as I, returned with her young daughter and began to help me clean. I began to protest, but she wouldn't hear it. That deed may seem like a small act of kindness, but it meant a lot. That woman is Jennifer Kowaleski. In the year and a half since I have had the pleasure to teach alongside her. I've learned a lot from her. She is one of the most patient, kind and supportive people that I've had the pleasure of crossing paths with. She cares for each child in our classroom as if she'd known them forever. The trust and love is seen in the bonds that she has formed with all of them. Over the course of the past four months Jennifer began to fall ill frequently. Initially, we all assumed it was the nature of the job or the rapid weather changes. However, a week ago she was admitted to the hospital. It was then that we learned the what plagued her. She has been diagnosed with Stage 3 blood and bone cancer. We, her co-workers, are asking for your help. We welcome any amount that can be spared. We are hoping that the donations can assist with her medical expenses, travel expenses (for treatments) and child care for her youngest child. We would like to give back to a woman that has dedicated her life to giving.
