Bring the Table of Silence—A Living Ritual for Peace—to the World
Your gift today funds the Table of Silence Documentary, and for a limited time every dollar is doubled through a $250,000 matching grant from the Arnhold Foundation (expires May 2026).
Each year on the morning of September 11, over 150 dancers accompanied by musicians and vocalists gather on Lincoln Center’s Josie Robertson Plaza for the Table of Silence Project 9/11, a public performance ritual and global call for peace created by choreographer Jacqulyn Buglisi and presented in partnership with Lincoln Center. At first light, dancers in flowing diaphanous white move in a pattern of concentric circles to the ancient call of the conch shell, tracing a Peace Labyrinth around the Revson Fountain. At 8:46 a.m., they rise in a shared invocation of universal peace.
This is hundreds of bodies in motion, turning grief into community and a shared call for peace.
Our documentary, Table of Silence: The Documentary, brings this powerful work to film. It weaves the beauty of the movement with the deeply human stories behind it, including Jacqulyn’s determination to stage the work while recovering from serious illness and chronicles how a single morning of dance has become a universal language of hope. In a world fractured by violence, fear, and division, this film affirms something essential: art can restore our shared humanity.
Your contributions to the nonprofit documentary will:
• Illuminate the origins and spiritual vision of the Table of Silence
• Chronicle 15 years of evolution at Lincoln Center
• Share voices from artists, civic leaders, and survivors
• Carry a message the world urgently needs: peace begins with each of us
The project began in grief.
It grew into a ritual of resilience. And now, the Table of Silence Documentary needs your help to reach the world.
Your gift right now is doubled thanks to a matching grant.
We are honored that the Arnhold Foundation has generously offered a $250,000 Matching Grant to bring this film to completion. Every dollar you give now is doubled and helps fund:
• Filming interviews
• Editing and post-production
• Sound design and original score
• Archival footage licensing
• Color grading, finishing, and distribution
• Artist and crew compensation
The matching opportunity is available only for a limited time and expires in May 2026, making your support during this window especially vital. By giving today, you help ensure that the Table of Silence Project’s message of healing and peace, born of grief, resilience, and hope, reaches festivals, schools, museums, and audiences worldwide without delay.
You are honoring those lost.
You are helping art heal.
You are saying yes to peace—right now, when it is most needed.
And thanks to the Arnhold Foundation’s extraordinary generosity, your impact is doubled throughout the matching period.
Every contribution brings us closer to completing the Table of Silence Documentary, and we truly believe no gift is too small, each one helps carry this work into the world. While we aren’t listing our donor levels here, we do offer special opportunities and acknowledgments at certain levels of giving. If you’d like to learn more, we welcome you to connect with us.
