Budding Ballerina Needs Your Help
Donation protected
My name is Farrah Johnson. I am a 16 year old dancer from New Orleans with big dreams! Six days a week I attend New Orleans School of Ballet and New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts working hard in my pursuit of a professional ballet career. I was recently accepted into the year-round program at Kansas City ballet. Kansas City ballet is a very prestigious school that has trained amazing dancers in many major dance companies. When I heard the news, I jumped for joy. I am so honored. I was set on going to another school but Kansas City ballet is a much more affordable school. The other school was $40,000 a year and Kansas City ballet is only $8,000 a year. Isn’t that great!! Often, I’ve felt that my late start in ballet put all of my peers ahead of me, but I can see that all of my hard work and dedication has payed off. This year my Dad had a stroke and my Mom has had major back surgery, which has left her on disability. In my family’s current situation we need some help to afford the tuition in addition to pointe shoes, dance attire, and transportation.
I need your help with my dream of becoming a professional dancer. Your donation will allow me to continue my pre-professional ballet training at the highest competitive level while also completing my academic education.
Thank you very much for your consideration!
Please click on updates to see the latest videos of me dancing at summer intensives and at my home studio!
Sincerely,
Farrah Johnson
