Yarla Rabelo

Yarla’s sudden passing has left a deep void in the lives of her husband, JC, and her children Emma and Brendan who meant everything to her. Our hearts go out to Yarla’s immediate and extended family, relatives, friends and co-workers who mourn the loss of an incredible human being. Yarla Maria Damasceno Rabelo is a beloved mother, an amazing daughter and sister, a great friend, a lovely aunt, and a supportive partner and wife, who was called to God’s presence sooner than anyone could expect or be ready for.

Those who got to know Yarla either through the school parent community, her children’s sport activities, work, or through any other means, said will remember her sweet smile and her eagerness to lend a hand or a listening ear when needed. Yarla was kind and felt a special connection with children with special needs and their parents.

In her professional life, Yarla went above and beyond her social work duties; her caring and compassionate nature were evident through her advocacy and support for the many children and families she serviced over more than 20 years.
