*7 May 2025 Update:*

Melissa's progress continues to impress everyone, even her doctors and nurses! Her health indicators are excellent, most drains have been removed, and medication has been significantly reduced. She is effectively managing her pain, and we cannot express enough how proud we are of her! She will soon be moving back to the ICU on the 3rd floor, where she initially began her journey. Melissa still has a challenging road ahead, but with your ongoing prayers and support, we are confident she will continue to heal and progress. Thank you for your generosity and continued support!

*4 May 2025 Update:*

Melissa is out of her 4-hour heart transplant surgery, and we are thrilled to share that her surgeon said everything went perfectly. Thank you all so much for the continued support, prayers, and love.

*3 May 2025 Update:*

We’re overjoyed to share that Melissa has received a strong match for a new heart. The donor heart is currently being prepared for transport to Colorado, and her transplant surgery is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Melissa is in great spirits—hopeful, strong, and so ready to begin this new chapter. She can’t wait to be on the road to recovery and back home with her little family.

I wanted to share a bit of news about my brother Brandon and his amazing wife, Melissa, who just welcomed their sweet baby girl, Ella, on 3/28. They’ve been diving into the joys (and challenges!) of being new parents. But just as they were getting into the swing of things, Melissa received heartbreaking news—she urgently needs a heart transplant.

There’s a lot ahead of them, not just the transplant but also the medical care, rehabilitation, and the financial struggles that come with it.
