Donations For Declan

Donation protected

On the morning of June 20th my friend, Paige, went through something no mother should ever have to. Her 2 year old son, Declan, was involved in a severe, tragic accident in their home. As parents we are all on guard for when something like this can occur and we hope and pray it never does. We check our homes, we childproof but, unfortunately, some things happen that are out of our control. Thankfully, Paige had taken an infant CPR course and was able to bring Declan back to life and saved his life. The medics came and Medevaced Declan to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Paige has been at CHOP since this accident has happened. As parents who have had children with life-threatening illnesses or life-threatening accidents know, it is extremely important to have a parent at the hospital to advocate for their child. Also to be there for them to provide a sense of familiarity, comfort and safety. Paige has been on her own taking care of their situation and desperately needs help. When people suffer a tragedy we all ask what we can we do to help or say, "Let me know how I can help you" and we mean it, we all feel so helpless. Paige is now out of work. There is a good chance she will lose her apartment. Her food vouchers for purchasing meals at CHOP are running out. Thankfully, and generously, Finnley is being cared for so she can give her full attention to Declan. Declan has come a long way but he has a long road ahead of him. I started this Go Fund Me so that we can all chip in to help Paige and Declan. If you weren't sure how you could be of help to her, this is the way. Any donation that you can make will help her, $5.00, $10.00, any amount that you can give. She and her boys are really starting over again. Some time soon she will probably need help packing up her apartment. If anyone would be able to give their time, that would be a huge help as well. Being a CHOP parent is a very unique experience. It's very hard to explain. Paige is an incredible mom who is doing everything she can to be able to get her son's health to where it was before this accident occured. We dont know why life throws these curveballs at us, even multiple curveballs as in her case, but having friends and family to help us makes things a lot easier. Thank you so much for your help.
