The Elmira Cal Ripken 12U All Star Team won its first ever 12U 50/70 Western New York State Championship this past weekend in Buffalo.   They will now go on to play in the Mid-Atlantic Cal Ripken Regional Championships in Mount Olive, NJ in just a little over a week.  Regionals is a 10 team pool play tournament beginning on Wednesday,  July 18th with the championship game on Sunday, July 22nd. The Mid-Atlantic tournament is regional champions from the following areas: Southeast Pennsylvania, Northwest Pennsylvania, Northern New York, Southern New York, Western New York (Elmira), Delaware, Maryland, Northern New Jersey, Southern New Jersey, and the Host Team from Mount Olive, NJ.  As you can imagine, the expenses will be quite considerable.  As wonderful as it is, it is not something that families can "budget" for ahead of time.  We are asking our families, friends, community members, and community businesses to sponsor our boys on this incredible  journey with a donation.
