Melissa fought this battle with amazing strength, grace, and beauty. Her battle is over. Our world has lost one of the best. And now we need to support her family as they battle grief and navigate life without her.
Original message: Lisle families, it’s time to unite and support one of our own… Recently the Russell family received news that Melissa has been diagnosed with advanced stage Pancreatic Cancer, and she is currently receiving Chemo treatments to help her battle this awful disease. Melissa is a wonderful mother to 7 incredible children and she is always supporting their passions and dreams. Whether it’s watching sporting events on the field or court, helping at jr. high dances, running elementary class parties, planning family functions, or attending parent weekends at college, Melissa is always there with a smile on her face. No one knows how she does it, but one thing is for sure, her family means everything to her. Melissa is also an amazing wife to Kevin. Together they are raising such great kids, and they both make it look very easy. Even though Melissa teaches full-time and Kevin runs a school district, the house stays clean, the schedules are kept in order, and family needs are always met. I think we all know that Melissa plays a big part in making sure everything in the Russell household runs smoothly. Melissa is a true superhero… strong, compassionate, giving, kind, and fully dedicated to her family. If you know Melissa, then you know what a truly selfless person she is. Kevin and the kids are her whole world, and Melissa wants nothing more than to continue to love and support them. Unfortunately, the cancer has already started to slow her down, and sadly, it will continue to do so. With this Go Fund Me page, we are hoping to take some of the daily worry and financial stress off of their plate. Kevin and Melissa need to focus on her treatments and loving those 7 amazing kids because their time together is priceless. All donations will help the family with current and future family expenses.
