Hope Village provides medical treatment, education, and a home for thirty orphaned children afflicted with HIV/AIDS, as well as treatment for forty-five other children in the surrounding communities. With only three staff members, one of whom is part time, they are in constant need of volunteers. We would care for their physical needs, such as medical supplies, food, and maintenance, as well as support their emotional needs, educational guidance, and create a fun, peaceful, loving environment for them to play and laugh. My family has been passionate about child development and education since my grand father Tom Cavanaugh began his work as an educator in Cheboygan Michigan, and my Mother and Aunt have endowed me with an equivalent compassion for children. I feel compelled to positively impact the lives of these children and use my gifts to help others. I need to raise $4,800 to go on the trip. $500 of which supplies Hope Village with resources they need, the rest covers airfare, food, and housing for the entire month. Keep the group of us in your thoughts and prayers, and if you can find some space in your budget please support me.
