Hello, we are Jada & Jasmine Dove! The twin daughters of Dennis & Gloria Dove. We are competing in the 2017 Jabberwock scholarship pageant sponsored by the Winston-Salem Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The Jabberwock journey provides participants with cultural, educational, service and social activities. It also provides us an opportunity to showcase our gifts and talents. The theme this year is “BELIEVE-BECOME-BLOOM.”
Our Background
We are both seniors at Robert B. Glenn High School! We will be graduating on June 9, 2017 and we will attend UNC Charlotte in the fall of 2017. We will be pursuing a degree in biology on the pre-health track.
We both have a 4.0 weighted GPA and are in the top 50 of our senior class. We are in the following clubs or groups: Senior Dean, Varsity Cheerleader, the service chair/secretary of Black Achievers, secretary/member of Interact Club, Spanish Club, Kernersville Cares for Kids, SGA, Crosby scholar, Simmons Memorial Foundation and National Honor Society. We are members of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where we serve on the young adult usher board, youth missionary and the liturgical dance ministry. An important determining factor will be the cost of financing our education, and we really need your support in this competition to help us achieve our goals.
