Dental Sealant Project in Jamaica

Hello everyone! My name is Madie and I am a dental hygiene student from Pacific University. From April 22 to May 2, a group of nine classmates, including myself, have been given the opportunity to go on the 1000 Smiles Sealant project through Great Shape! Inc. in Monteago Bay to provide free preventitive care to children in need.

I am extremely excited and honored to be going on this adventure to put to use the skills I have been learning over this past year and to improve my knowledge of new cultures and underserved populations. Working with and learning from people like this makes me remember why I have always been pulled towards the healthcare field.
