My name is Laura Shore. I am the fiance' of Steve Buckley. He was affectionately known as Larry's "Big Brother", and called Larry "Little Brother", even though Larry was considerably older than Steve. We were devestated to hear of Larry's passing. He was known and beloved by many. He was the adopted Grand Uncle to Steve's Grandaughter Grace. Larry was a member of the "Midtown Family", and we are known to take care of our own. Larry Douglas was adored by countless fans. But his official title was Organist in Residence of the Fabulous Fox Theatre. After most performances, He was known  to step next door to hang out at Churchill Grounds, and became great friends with the owner, Sam Yi. It was there that we discussed that Larry was still in the morgue 3 weeks after his passing, and what could we possibly do to give our friend the dignity he deserved.
We started the Go Fund Me Campaign to pay for His cremation and final arrangements. Larry's long time friend and spiritual confidant, Father Gary Mull, was working on the final arrangements, but needed funding. Our goal was to get our dear Larry out of the morgue and given a dignified ending to a life Well Lived. Thank God for each and everyone that donated to this cause, and made this quest a reality. The funds, in their entirety, will be turned over to Father Gary, who can now finalize the arrangements. Final resting place is still yet to be determined, but that information will be made public as soon as it is decided.
