65-year-old artist, recent right leg amputee trying to get his life back.
Active volunteer seeking to raise funds for two projects.
1. Transportation:
E-bike and necessary accessories.
Hoping to facilitate timely transportation to continue volunteering throughout the G.T.A.
West Park Rehabilitation Centre ( in Etobicoke )
Co-facilitating an inpatient support group for recent amputees when things open up again.
Pet therapy:
I have two emotional support cats who when things open up will be going into hospitals and nursing homes. They provide much-needed comfort and emotional support to those struggling with loneliness and depression.
Public transportation is good but extremely time-consuming. Depending on how many buses are required, two-three hours are consumed waiting for transfers. Resulting in fewer opportunities to volunteer.
I would be eternally grateful for any and all contributions.
